I don't know how many of you have read Twilight, but here's my review of it.
I was skeptical of it at first. All I knew of it was that this girl in my Seminary class named Sydney loved it and wanted to marry Edward Cullen. I kept hearing about the book, though, and everyone I talked to who had read the book loved it. I decided to try it. I started off by reading how the idea for Twilight was born on the book's website. It sounded interesting enough, so Amanda Swanson loaned me her copy. It sat on my desk for a while, waiting for me to put down the textbooks. Yesterday, I finally did.
I started it around 5pm and stayed up until around midnight to finish it. (I did have a break for dinner - I wasn't about to miss spring rolls!) I loved the book. I thought that the beginning was very well done - a beginning for the character and the reader. I thought Bella was a little pessimistic, but I really loved her anyway. Her observances and musings were very entertaining, but Edward totally stole the show.
I had heard that people thought Edward was amazing. That doesn't even cover it. Edward is pretty much the perfect man. He's cryptic at first. We have no idea what he's thinking. And then the character unfolds. As Edward gives up trying to stay away from Bella, the reader gives up trying to not love Edward. Edward is gentlemanly, smart, mysterious, amazingly good-looking, interesting, strong enough to dent a truck, brave, fast and all around incredible. Wow.
The characters in this book are very interesting. I don't think that the characters of Bella's friends are very deep or developed, but the complete opposite is true of Edward's vampire family. They're very intricate characters and I can't wait to read more about them.
The setting of the book could not be more perfect for the story. I personally love rain and trees, so the rainiest place in the country with a bunch of trees immediately appealed to me.
The language of the book was amazing. The descriptions of characters, of places, even of things was incredible.
I seriously cannot wait to read more. Wow.

I LOVE Twilight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
New moon is the second book, and then Eclipse is the third. Twilight is definitely the best so far, then eclipse, then New Moon.
The fourth one's coming out... August 8, I think.
It's called Breaking Dawn.
Really? That's the story about vampires right? I'm sorta skeptical too but I've heard SO many good reviews I'll just have to check it out from the library.
I tried to read it. After about one quarter of the book, I couldn't possibly read any more. Isabella's a whiny butt, and Edward is so perfect you can't relate to him in any way because, guess what, folks: EDWARD ISN'T REAL. Okay, she loves him, he loves her, they have a love story, let's move on to a book with a plot. And even though Bella's so unlikeable, every male besides her dad has a crush on her. Basically, it's what girls want to happen but don't realize that IT'S NOT GOING TO HAPPEN.
There is sooooo much more to the plot - you just gave up too soon! There's the whole Edward-also-wants-to-eat-Bella issue, the annoying Indian guy who is either Jacob Black's grandpa or dad (I don't remember which), the Rosalie-hates-Bella thing and more stuff that I'm not going to spoil!
haha my mother LOVES!!! these books I recomended them to her because almost all the girls at our school are reading them! and she didnt want to read them at first...because of vampires.... I hav'nt read them but i hear they are good....kinda girly im guessing!
Thomas, I think you should read the Twilight books. Maybe not in public, but definitely read them. I think guys could learn a lot from them - or at least enjoy them.

My cousin.
Woah. Who's your ex-girlfriend?
Roo is the insanely effervescent violin-player.
Roo was formerly known as Mo. But she got bored, so she changed her name.
Roo, what exactly do you think guys are going to learn from these book?
I think guys could learn how to be gentlemanly - act like Edward!
