OMG

I looked at my calendar today for the first time in forever, and was *coughcough* 'slightly' astonished to realize that we only have two weeks of summer left! Well, technically we have nearly two months left, but somehow sweltering in a classroom doing math problems doesn't quite qualify as summer to me. Anyway, where did all the long, mindless days I expected go? It all blew by so fast, it seems like yesterday I graduated (well, 'commenced'), and today, I'm shopping for school supplies. I wonder, do we ever notice time as it whispers by? Or only after it departs? Reminds me a little of the quote "You never know the worth of water until the well runs dry." Well, I'll stop being philosophical now and let you tell me your opinion. Please comment!

IT'S US!!!

This is the picture I'm sure you're all shaking you're heads at. My friend Kacey (who most of you have met by now) took it for me, on the bus ride home. The four of us spent at least an hour like that, just sort of piled up, and...it was fun. Drew is the li'l punk on top, Nichole is the one with dark hair who's singing (yes, that's what she's doing), Erica is the one with lighter brown hair on the right of the seat, Brooke (she goes to Peak to Peak) is the one reading in the next seat up, and I'm sure you can all recognize me. If you can't, I'm the one with the hair. That should narrow it down enough. I just got my pictures back from Kamp, and they're all hilarious...most of them are of Kacey. lol!

Last night was really fun. Thomas, just know that I WILL find out. So ha! :) Lol... Messing around in the pool was really fun. I used SO MUCH conditioner!!!

Today AJ leaves for Hawaii. He'll be back in time for school...WHICH IS IN TWO WEEKS!!! Yeowsers, that's close. I'm really not looking forward to filling out the packet on the Alchemist...I liked the book, for the most part. It was intruiging. The "turn yourself into the wind" part was wierd though. When the Alchemist pulled up on the black horse I thought he was really cool, mostly because it reminded me of something out of the Princess Bride (love that movie!). Then for that wind part, he's like, "I got you into this against your will, and now you're the one who might die. I already know how to turn myself into the wind..." I'm all, YOU JERK! But whatever, I still thought it was entertaining for the afternoon it took me to read it.

Hope your summers are going just as good as mine!!! Luv y'all, Kenz

Hmmm...

Mo, (or whoever did it) how did you set up that page element off to the side that shows a list of your friends' blogs?
Yes, Moriah beat me to it, but i am officially a part of all's blog now. I probably won't post too much on here because as Moriah said, i do have this other amazing blog, Veni Vedi Vege (and no kenz, i didn't screw up the last word. babelfish.com ahoy!!!) which youshouldallceheckout.

Hooray!

Kelsey has joined our numbers! While continuing to maintain her amazing blog, Veni, Vidi, Vege!, she will also post here. Yay!!!

I'M BACK!!!

I'M BACK FROM KANSAS!!! I had the greatest time. Seriously, this was one of the best years. There was the craziest storm last night. It was totally a Come to Jesus storm. We get those sometimes. Seriously, this morning there was over 5 inches of standing water in our destroyed tent. It was hilarious. And the bus ride today was a riot! I went tubing every single day! And I'm so much closer to God now...it's incredible. I missed you all though. It's good to be back, I guess. I'm so much closer to my girlies too- Savanna, Kacey, Mel, and Emily...even though I do think Mel's obsession with *cough* no one in particular *cough* is slightly on the creepy side. Then again, he matches her in creepiness sometimes. I've gotten to know Drew a lot better too. And of course, Nichole and Erica! I went tubing every single day. It was rad...Thursday night was intense...just, yeah. and MoTay is so funny! there was this little puppy there called Dakota (Drew just called it Itty Bitty though, it was funny), and one day a bunch of us spent like an hour on this hill with it, until it attacked MoTay, and was, like, trying to pants him. that was funny. And I have so many inside jokes now!
"I've never been this close to your-arm-before!"
"So...see that sky today?"/"TALK. ABOUT. BLUE."
"Shampoo and Conditioner!!!"

well there are more, but I forget them, and I"m tired now. Call me!!! Hear fun stories!!!

A book review

Well, I finished DH 25.5 hours after it came out (it didn't take me that long to read it, but I have to sleep :)), and let me tell you, it sure isn't a disappointment! The characters are even better developed, the plot absolutely brilliant...all I can say is J.K. Rowling's done it again, genius that she is, although the story sure didn't follow the plan I thought it would follow...won't say any more, in case you haven't finished yet! It was so well-written, it made me cry THREE TIMES, something that I don't think a book has EVER done to me...anyway, just in case you don't have a copy yet, it's worth the money! My final take? DH has some version of a permanent-sticking charm on it, you can't put it down until the end! Happy reading!

"VICTORIA"

this "VICTORIA" thing is wierd. No one remembers her. Not Larson, not Ciera, not Kacey, not Mel, not me. She may be insulted, but I'm scared. Is she just a stalker, who spent waaaay too much time on the MSM website? That would give her enough information to know about the Larson thing...but the blob thing? We never said anything about the blob. And if it was someone prank calling me, they are SO DEAD.

Yesterday

"Yesterday, All my troubles seemed so far away, now it seems that they're here to stay, oh I believe in yesterday..."
Ugh. Bad Beatles-Longmont Theatre-better ratings than they should have gotten-twitch twitch.

Well, the stories really start around 1:30

Unnatural Child and Mo Being Wierd

So, *Unnatural Child's real name*, I was thinking that for this joint post, we could play that telephone game where instead of saying/typing what we heard (or in this case, read), we write what we think. Cell phone, I think it's called.

Mo, I'm confuzzled!

For example, I'll write "hey dont' steal the keyboard! Oranges" and then you'll respond with whatever pops into your head, like "Dumbledore!" even though that might really be because your sis is blasting the mysterious ticking sound. Okay?

Okay, I get it. I'll respond to your first one.
"I will so steal the keyboard if you're going to type what I think you were going to type!"

Wait hey no give that back!

Watch what you type.

Let's think. It starts with a W and ends with a hite Knight.

Marian Paroo

Goood niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight my ssooooooooooomeone....

Key of C major

Yay no flats!

Or sharps!

Have a licorice bit, but they're a wee bit sharp.

I'm feeling pensive today. Actually I'm not, I'm feeling thourougly rambunctious, but still...

Rambunctious enough to play airplanes with me?

NO!

Dang. My airplane just fell out of the sky and now is rushing toward the ground at 9,81 m/s^2 acceleration. I hate science. Let...... iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiittttttttt fffffffffaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaalllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll.... If ittt fallllllls!...

I hated science too. In I wonder why I still want to be a scientist. Maybe I should just ditch it for viola. Or singing. Or acting. Or all three, they're all fun.

At the same time?

Sure, why not? I like the arts.

This is gonna be great, and you can paint at the same time! Now don't die on me now.

I'm a terrible artist. Paints and brushes and pencils-wise.

At least your Dumbledores don't look more like Tonkss.

No one is going to understand this post, you know. Keyboard angst.

Dat's okay, I'll bet they're laughing at us. Which is good. Yay!!!

We better stop before we go too crazy. Pressing publish button!

Time Until Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

A few amusing quotes from the last month of my life (can't remember any others for now)

~"I wonder why no one is getting in line for the roller coaster on that ramp?" "Because that's the exit ramp, Kat." Me and Moriah. Blonde moments are so fun sometimes :).~

~"How is dabbing your eye with a wet napkin going to stop you from hyperventilating?" My cousin Eric. Don't ask the context...~

~"The minister's cat is a prune." Olive. I know it looks bizarre, but this seriously made my sister laugh for, no kidding, ten minutes straight. It still cracks her up whenever she hears it.~

Hope my sense of humor is compatible with yours :).

"We're MEN. We don't sit in peace gardens."

Wow. need I post more? lol

To Answer Kenz... Again

(Sorry if my typing is a little off, I'm without use of my left index finger because I cut it while I was canning stuff today.)

What you do is go to the plaxe where you normally go to post and at the top will be the word "Template." Click on it and then there will be a "bluepeint" of the blog. To edir something, clixk on "Edit." Rat's about it.

(Sorry again about the teyping.)

Wouldn't It Be Cool???

Can you, like, even IMAGINE how amazing it would be to be in a show on Broadway??? I mean, I'm listening to the revival cast of Into the Woods, and it's just amazing. Every show has a message, whether it's a political statement- though possibly rather convoluted through the plot *cough, the Crucible, cough*, a simple joke message such as "don't feed the plants", or even telling you that you will always have to confront the woods of your world, no matter how dark it may seem. And just LIVING that message, that moral, for the months you are rehearsing and performing this work of art, it's not going to leave you. You give a bit of yourself to that show, and a bit of that show will always stay with you... I mean... only drama geeks are really going to get this *cough, Katie, cough, AJ, cough*, but...
it's bigger than words.

All the Cool Stuff

Hey, so how am I able to add stuff to like, friend's blogs lists, or book lists, or post polls?

This Is Getting Pathetic

Guys, we need to think of a name for our blog other than "To Be Named." Please comment any ideas and we'll decide on one of them.

To Answer Kenz's Question

To post videos, what I usually do is get them from YouTube, use a YouTube account and add this blog to the account, then click "Post Video." You write whatever else you want on the post and then it appears on the blog. Hope this helps.

Good Songs I'm Enjoying Right Now

At Long Last!

I am back- from the not-quite-or-anywhere-near-dead! I just arrived in...well, okay, I'm still in the Atlanta airport, but that's only three hours on a plane and another hour here away from home! I just spent the last week on Fripp Island, South Carolina. It was really fun! We were, like, 50 meters away from the beach, and there was this golf cart that we got to drive everywhere! Well, technically you had to have a valid driver's license to drive it, which means Sam, Mom, and Dad, but Grant and I drove it a bit too. I drove it only out on the backroads, with Mom and Dad's approval. Grant drove it all over the place the first two days, 'till the PoPo caught up with us. haha. He was rather grumpy. We met a baby alligator named Erwin, and we saw a bunch of big alligators, which was really cool. The island is only 3 miles by one half mile, but there's about 26 miles of road! CRAZY! And what's even more crazy? THERE ARE OVER 600 DEER ON THE ISLAND. wow. I had my birthday there on the 8th- which I think is the same as Ariel's, is it not? Now Grant and I are pretty friendly, but I never knew he was such a blabbermouth! When it got late at night, he would NOT SHUT UP!!! I mean it, you could gag him with a sock and he'd just keep on talking! It got a little old. Oh, g2g! Luv y'alls!

The Remus Lupins!

So, last Tuesday I went and saw the wizard-rock band, the Remus Lupins! They are amazing!

Right to left: Drum player, me, EXTREMELY cute bass player, Ariel, lead singer and guitarist

Adorable!

My adorable cousins! The little girl is Courtney, the pictures were taken on her first birthday! Her brothers are the boys, the one with the tongue is Avery and the other one is Chase. Aren't they cute?

Education Really Counts

Pre-reading note: Upon re-reading what I wrote, the first paragraph sounds really arrogant, but I think it makes more sense once you finish the post. Tell me what you think, and feel free to disagree!

I'll get straight to the point of this post. Moriah and I were at Lakeside the other evening for Ariel's birthday, and I was startled by the number of people there who clearly lacked education. And I don't mean in the sense that they seemed to actually be unintelligent. It was just the way they spoke with crude language, the way they didn't seem to be able to take care of their appearances, the way none of them displayed any evidence of dental hygeine. I mean seriously, at least 40 percent of the adults there were missing teeth! It was easy to tell who they were by their general behavior, by the way they carried themselves, by their unkempt appearances. There was the man who was either drunk, mentally disabled, or had a faulty inner ear, I couldn't tell which, but his sense of balance and movement was so off it could have been any one of them. There was a girl who took out her anger at the world by kicking a trashcan. There were the two teenaged girls who were the same age as us but who looked years older. Need I continue? A lot of these people are a whole lot poorer than any of us will ever be. And you know what else I noticed? An awful lot of them were black or latino. Not all of them, but a lot of them. I wonder what those demographics says about our educational and social systems. Are we truly the country of equality we say we are?

I know we are all thankful for the world we were born into. I don't mean earth, or humanity. I mean the world of the affluent, at least relatively affluent compared to the rest of the world. You might not think of yourself as rich, but compare yourself to others sometime. And you don't have to go to war-torn Sudan or famine-ravished Bangladesh to get a shock at the inequality. Look right here in this country; you'll find plenty of people who'd love to have had half the luck you did when you were born into your financially secure familes. But I wonder, how often to you thank God or natural selection or whatever you belive in for the education you're getting? Maybe you do every day. But have you ever just taken for granted the fact that you get a darn good school experience that will mean the difference between being successful in life and, well, failing? I know I have. How many of you will go to college? All of you. How many of the people I saw the other night went to college or will go in the near future? Maybe half. My parents have five college degrees between them. A lot of the people I saw probably didn't have one. I'm not asking you to go out and fix the nation's unjust educational and social systems. But next time you're annoyed at a teacher, tired of a homework assignment, or just fed up with school in general, take a moment to think about how lucky you are. I know I'll be trying to keep a more accurate perspective of the world open as I enter high school next year, and I hope you'll make the same effort.

Magic

Magic, by Pilot, is a really fun song to listen to. It's catchy. And in my opinion, it is the perfect song for a skate video, and it's been that way ever since I saw it as such. Skate videos can be rather interesting...
The Leader of the Pack is also a good song. And sad. It's quite sad. It totally reminds me of the movie Grease 2. That movie was an embarassment to the name. And at the talent show or whatever, for those of you who've seen it, I'm all, "if he REALLY died, this is the worst movie EVER!" But in this song, the backup singers kind of have that Jersey knockout accent...
Well anyways, I'm sure you all think my analysis-s (haha that sounds funny) are really dumb and moreover quite pointless since I listen to "outdated hippie crap", according to Hanners...
Now I'm listening to Knock Three Times! Woot! Our English class was smashing. It's a shame they're breaking us up. No class will ever be the same. And no class will EVER stage the beating of-well, we all know who WE pretended to beat up.

RAD!!!

Sunday, July 1

Sweet Sweeeeet!

Well welcome back! I can't wait to hear how much fun you've had!

Hey guys guess what????

Well if you don't know- and none of you do, actually- every Sunday I'm a first grade small group leader at my church for Kid's Church. This last week was Vacation Bible School- and you all did know that- and my little girl Brittany Moyer accepted Jesus into her heart on the last day!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so happy for her! If you're a Christian, you can pray for her. If you're not...you can go about your daily lives. Haha.

Secondly, my poor friend Evan fell from a broken branch onto a rock the other day and broke his humorous, the bone in your upper arm. I'm still wondering how he managed that. However, that's not the point! On Tuesday he's getting surgery to get pins put in his arm so it will be correctly positioned again. For the second time today, if you're a Christian, you can pray for him, and if you're not...well you all know the drill. :)

Is anyone listening??? There seems to be a shortage of comments on my recent posts. But that could be because none of you know quite what to do with my awkward quotes about wenises (wenii? but that's a discussion I've already had with the Hegel boys...hehe. 'twas awkward and funny.) and thongs. But let me assure you, the thong I speak of was a flip flop. After Ethan said that, I took it off and beat him with it. Haha.

Well I hope you all enjoyed my daily (more or less) blurb. Toodles!
