Well welcome back! I can't wait to hear how much fun you've had!
Hey guys guess what????
Well if you don't know- and none of you do, actually- every Sunday I'm a first grade small group leader at my church for Kid's Church. This last week was Vacation Bible School- and you all did know that- and my little girl Brittany Moyer accepted Jesus into her heart on the last day!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so happy for her! If you're a Christian, you can pray for her. If you're not...you can go about your daily lives. Haha.
Secondly, my poor friend Evan fell from a broken branch onto a rock the other day and broke his humorous, the bone in your upper arm. I'm still wondering how he managed that. However, that's not the point! On Tuesday he's getting surgery to get pins put in his arm so it will be correctly positioned again. For the second time today, if you're a Christian, you can pray for him, and if you're not...well you all know the drill. :)
Is anyone listening??? There seems to be a shortage of comments on my recent posts. But that could be because none of you know quite what to do with my awkward quotes about wenises (wenii? but that's a discussion I've already had with the Hegel boys...hehe. 'twas awkward and funny.) and thongs. But let me assure you, the thong I speak of was a flip flop. After Ethan said that, I took it off and beat him with it. Haha.
Well I hope you all enjoyed my daily (more or less) blurb. Toodles!

Kenz, they're on my "to pray for" list. But I don't really understand what you mean by "accepting Jesus into her heart." Could you explain?
AJ has a blog? Where?
Well, sometime you really need to explain Mormonism to me by the way because I am SO confused. People who write books shouldn't be so opinionated.
Well, Christians believe that you know everybody sins and then in order to get your sins forgiven you need to ask Jesus into your heart and to forgive you. There's that story (I think it's in Matthew somewhere- about the woman caught in adultery) and Jesus tells her to "go and sin no more". Well since we are humans, before we ask Jesus into our hearts we are ruled by the flesh and the sinful nature (check out Galatians for a bit more elaboration on that) we aren't able to keep from sinning on our own, so we need Jesus in our hearts to help us.
You're probably still really confused but...keep asking questions.
Oh, so you reply to Moriah's comment, eh? What am i? Chopped Liver?

haha, like, it'd be fun to play mafia at my house with all the nonexistent secret hideaways. Then again, you'd be surprised where people have managed to hide... :)
I agree with all that, but how exactly does one "allow Jesus into thier heart?"
We've got a Heavenly Father who loves to give good gifts to His children. Wouldn't you like to know Him, too? Think about it: The best gift you could ever receive is yours for the asking — eternal life! We can't earn it, and none of us deserve it. Take a peek at Romans 6:23: "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord."
Cool, huh? Jesus died in our place and offers us eternal life instead of the death we deserve. Let's take a look at another verse — Romans 3:24: "Yet now God declares us 'not guilty' of offending him if we trust in Jesus Christ, who in his kindness freely takes away our sins."
What a gift, huh? Today could be a spiritual turning point in your life. Wouldn't it be great to know your sins are forgiven? That you'll spend eternity in heaven? If you want that kind of gift, here's how to get it:
Pray this prayer (or one similar — it's not the words that matter, it's the sincerity of your heart).
Dear Father, I'm sorry for trying to live my life my own way. I've been wrong. I'm sorry for my selfish lifestyle, and I confess my sins to You. Will You forgive
I want to live for You, Jesus. I believe You died for my sins so I wouldn't have to. I also believe You conquered death and will someday judge the entire world. I accept Your forgiveness and Your gift of eternal life.
I commit my whole life to You, Jesus. Please help me to grow spiritually and become a solid and strong Christian.
Start living for Jesus. Decide to turn away from things that don't glorify Him. You'll still blow it from time to time. But when you do, stop and seek His forgiveness and continue living for Him.
Get involved in a church and youth group. Ask your pastor to baptize you as a special testimony of your new life in Christ.
If you don't have a Bible that you understand, think about getting a student Bible — one with lots of graphics, helps and explanations.
I pasted this off a reliable website. sorry if it's boring, hope it explains. :)
Okay, I'm joining the conversation now. Kenz, I'm confused by a few things. One: the fifth post down. Two: Don't you already invite Jesus into your heart when you become a Christian? Why do you need to invite him in again? Forgive my ignorance here, I'm just a little confused (not having been to Bible school or anything). And three: Why would you be sorry for living your life your own way? I thought we were all trying to be individuals living as ourselves.
Haha, yes Katie, inviting Jesus into your heart IS becoming a Christian! Haha, that makes me laugh.
And living your life as an individual is good, no, it's the living for yourself as if there's nothing else, the letting yourself rule, the sin, that's bad. Haha.
So basically, it's like a change of heart, first time repenting, etc.? Sounds exactly like what we do, but over and over as we need forgiveness. I've already been baptized, in my church we are baptized at age eight, the age of accountability.
Unnatural Child #1,
One: No idea
Two: I'm of the same mind as you here.
Three: I think she means living like a natural man would, that is, not abiding the commandments and pridefully thinking that he doesn't need God, he can do it on his own.
I can see that. Why does this thing sign with my username half the time, and half the time not???
Oh, I forgot to say, the last post was Unnatural Child #1's work. As it should now say.
Kenzie? Response?
COuldn't you all discuss this in e-mail???
we could.
