Too Much Faith?

In this world, we, as a whole, put too much faith in others. Mainly those we are "madly in love with", to be exact.
They will never let us down. They are perfect, so they can never leave us. I can trust them with my heart, because they won't break it. They can't. I love them. The only reason I love them is because they are worthy, and since they are worthy they won't ever hurt me. They can't.
Or so we think. We blindly paint ourselves into a corner. And then at last, the illusion is stripped away. We realize that we are stuck, and there is no one left to lift us out of the pit we have dug for ourselves. No one but our poor broken heart, and that will need time to mend. Who knows if it ever will...at this point it hurts so bad we fear we will never trust again. We gave them our trust, and they blew it. We are alone, in a pit, never to the light of hope again.
"Love" is a roller coaster. But not a fun one. "Love" is a roller coaster that will look so enticing when others ride it and laugh. They have been on it before. They are experienced. The first time they didn't like it either, but they came back. Now they ride with ease. They make it look easy. So we decide to try it. We are tossed and turned, ripped violently from out safety zones, hurtled through the open air, a mere strap of burlap holding us in. We stagger off, memory erased, stomach still reeling...
We come back to the amusement park of life later...We see a big roller coaster, think it looks fun. Have we been on it before? It seems like it...but we just...can't...remember. We might have...but...
So we go on it. The stupidest decision of the day. Hopefully we'll forget it soon.
But is forgetting the pain the answer? Pain exists for a reason. Pain is a warning signal, an instinctive reaction, keeping us from getting injured.
I'll leave you to ponder these things. Let me know what you think please!

Oh. My. Gosh. Kenz, that was amazing! It's so totally true. It was... perfect. That's a perfect description.
